I enjoy the way the article probes so many aspects of Kentridges work;  from theatrics to self-parody, and from the comic to the fragile. How beautifully the qualites of charcoal are captured in the words, &#039;vulnerable, smudgy&#039; &#039;ephemeral; leading to a sense of &#039;romance and nostalgia.&#039;

If I ever get to New York, I will ask for them to get the Pearlsteins out of storage.</description>
